Clinical Counselling Psychologist – Mindplace Solihull Location: Solihull, B91 3RT Type: Permanent – Full-time (hybrid) or Part-time (minimum 4 sessions/2 days per week) Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary + extensive benefits package Added:• Flexible working patterns – we’ll discuss arrangements that suit both you and the service. Session Requirements Monday to Friday: 07:30/08:00 – 15:30/16:00 and 14:00 – 22:00 Weekends: 08:30 – 17:00 – at least 1 weekend per 3, varying by location Maximum 5 appointments per day Your Role As a Clinical Counselling Psychologist within Bupa Health Services, you will support our customers by delivering education and practical strategies to live longer, healthier, happier lives. Your day will largely be spent in direct contact with clients, applying your training and experience to improve their wellbeing. Responsibilities Provide high‑quality therapeutic care with excellent clinical outcomes. Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations for evidence‑based intervention. Offer varied service delivery models: face‑to‑face, telephone, or video consultations. Adhere to Bupa's case management processes while collaborating with Clinical Leads and the therapy team. Work within sessional limits set by the client's Private Medical Insurance allowance. Provide signposting or onward referrals when indicated. Offer ad‑hoc wellbeing support and coaching. Conduct one‑off assessments and referral recommendations. Provide group psycho‑education and mental health awareness through remote presentations, workshops, and training. Work autonomously in line with professional guidelines and Bupa's service policies. Attend regular clinical supervision and monthly team meetings. Collaborate with the operational and clinical team to improve client and employee experiences. Essential Qualifications & Skills Professional doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology accredited by the British Psychological Society. Health and Care Professions Council registration as a Chartered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist. General adult mental health experience. At least one year of post‑qualification clinical experience. Desirable Qualifications Training and accreditation in specialised areas of psychological relevance. Corporate experience. Excellent leadership and management skills. Key Skills & Experience General adult mental health specialism experience. Corporate experience and business understanding. Up‑to‑date CPD. Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Systems and electronic medical record systems. Ability to evaluate, plan, and prioritise workload within demanding time scales. Proven customer service and client liaison experience. Excellent application of clinical knowledge. Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills. Experience managing own caseload and driving individual targets and outcomes. High standards in written and oral communication. Diverse and varied clinical experience.
