Job Summary The Homeless Service is an award-winning service (MBE award, two-time Winner of Lammy Award, Regional Winner of Health and Social Care Award for Improving Health and Reducing Inequalities, Winner of GSTT Care Award, Winner of Ab Fab Award) delivering services to those experiencing homelessness. You will work in non-NHS sites such as hostels, day centres and street nursing when required and will be expected to travel to the Gracefield Gardens office when needed. Hybrid working and flexible working opportunities are offered. Position Band 7 Nurse Practitioner, Sexual Health Trained (Adult) – Maternity leave cover ending 15 December 2026. Closing date: 07/12/2025 Responsibilities Lead and advance the sexual health service, attending meetings and setting case loads for clients. Run sexual health in‑reach clinics at hostels for the homeless and provide street outreach services in Lambeth, Southwark & Lewisham. Administer sexual health treatments including PGD medications. Make referrals to mainstream services and safeguarding referrals for high‑risk client groups. Deliver vaccine administration and ongoing advocacy for individuals. Maintain liaison with accommodation providers, local authorities, and stakeholders. Support the development of inclusion services and lead key roles within the homeless team as a senior member. Assist service leads in upholding the seven pillars of governance and leadership/management duties. Qualifications BSc/1st degree or equivalent qualification. Evidence of comprehensive professional development in sexual health and contraception, including a recognised contraception qualification (e.g., DFSRH). Desirable Master’s degree or working towards one. Nurse practitioner qualification. Evidence of recent updating in health inclusion and providing services to marginalised groups. Professional Registration RN (Current registration). Desirable Registration Registered Nurse Prescriber (completed or working towards). Skills & Knowledge Ability to work autonomously as a practitioner, making responsible decisions. Computer literacy – Internet, email, Excel, Word, and patient systems. Capability to run an independent nurse‑led clinic for clients and manage client care appropriately. Ability to work in partnership with and negotiate with a wide variety of agencies and NHS providers. Desirable Experience Experience running audits or projects relevant to this clinical area. Experience managing clinical services and supervising junior staff or students. Teaching experience (informal or formal). Employment Details Band 7 – Salary £56,276 to £63,176 per annum (including HCA). Contract: Fixed term (9 months). Working pattern: Full‑time.
