We are looking for 2 skilled and dynamic individuals to work as part of our Nursing team in John Hunter Clinic for Sexual Health and Kobler HIV OPD as Band 4 Assistant Practitioners.
As this is a senior role, you will need to have recent sexual health/HIV experience at Band 3 Level to be suitable for the post.
The assistant practitioner role encompasses clinical duties including direct patient care under supervision. This involves assisting the Multi professional team in the delivery of a high standard of care to patients attending for Sexual, reproductive and HIV health care.
Other aspects include housekeeping and administration duties which involve overseeing the maintenance of a safe environment for both patients and staff.
As a senior Health Care Assistant you will have a role in the mentoring and leadership of more junior members of the team.
We provide services from two main hospitals, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital, and a number of clinics across London and the South-East.

To assist the Registered Nurse/Health Advisers/Doctors in their main daily responsibilities.
To work flexibly within the John Hunter Clinic /Kobler OPD.
The role will involve direct patient care, clerical, reception and administration duties and overseeing of the maintenance of a safe environment for both clients and staff.
The post holder works under the supervision of the Nursing and Health Adviser team.
To supervise the ordering and stock levels of medical supplies.
To provide training and leadership to the Health Care Assistants and participate in the mentorship/management of the Health Care Assistants.
To work within boundaries of existing competence and develop skills at all times.
The post holder is expected to maintain high standards of care, managing their time, tasks and resources effectively.
To ensure that the environment of the clinic is clean, tidy, safe and welcoming to patients. We have evening clinics.
