Salary: £45,000 - £59,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

SANZA Teaching Agency is delighted to partner with a high-achieving, two-form entry primary school in Brent that is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking School Business Manager to join its senior leadership team.

As School Business Manager, you will oversee the key business functions of finance, HR, premises, compliance, health & safety and administration-ensuring the school runs smoothly, sustainably and in a way that enables teaching and learning to thrive.

Lead and manage all aspects of school finance, budgeting, procurement and value-for-money analysis
Oversee HR functions including recruitment, payroll, contracts, onboarding and staff compliance
Manage health & safety, premises, site maintenance and statutory checks
Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection and safeguarding from an operational standpoint
Work closely with the Headteacher and Governors on financial planning and strategic decision-making
Line-manage administrative and site staff, fostering a high-performing, professional team
Prepare and present reports to senior leaders and the governing body
Engage with the local authority, external partners and suppliers to support smooth daily operations
Contribute to the long-term sustainability, growth and success of the schoolThe ideal candidate:

Proven experience as a School Business Manager or in a similar leadership role within education
Strong financial acumen and sound knowledge of school funding, budgeting and procurement
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
Confident user of finance and MIS systems (e.g. FMS, SIMS, Arbor or similar)
Ability to analyse data, manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
Understanding of HR processes, premises management and health & safety legislation
Proactive, solutions-focused and adaptable approach
Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CSBM, DSBM, Accountancy, Business Management) desirable
