About The Audit Social Sector Team We offer world‑class audit experience with deep, specialist knowledge of the social sector. The team provides distinctive audit and advisory services to: Educational institutions such as universities, colleges and large multi‑academy trusts Housing associations Charities Hear From Our Trainee, Alex "Joining the social sector team last year has meant I can begin my career as an auditor and combine that with working with the type of clients that I am really interested in and feel like I am making a real difference to society". About The Role As an apprentice, this four‑year training contract will include: Years 1 and 2 Master the art of auditing: Prepare meticulous audit documents using the latest software and methodologies. Financial statements: Develop a deep understanding of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows. Work side by side with clients: Be immersed in the business world by working directly with diverse companies. Build relationships: Connect with key stakeholders, both clients and internal team members. Years 3 and 4 Take on increasingly complex audit work (revenue recognition, valuation, risk assessments), lead audit engagements, and mentor junior team members. You’ll join us as a permanent employee, and the learning continues beyond the first three years. Who We're Looking For On track or have obtained A-level, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications with excellent academic performance. Deep curiosity to learn new things and naturally inquisitive. Strong critical thinking, problem‑solving, and knowledge sharing. Commitment to self‑development and learning. High sense of ownership and responsibility to deliver on promises. Continuous improvement mindset. Respectful engagement with new people and diversity. Capable of working well under pressure with a positive can‑do attitude. Excellent time‑management skills. Willingness to travel and adapt to our working environment. Learning and Development Fully funded professional qualification: ACA. Coaching, mentorship, and one‑on‑one guidance will support your growth. We provide study time, blended learning (in‑person and virtual), and a buddy system during your first year.
