Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language TherapistJob SummaryWe are recruiting speech and language therapists to support statutory speech and language therapy provision across the London Borough of Sutton. The role is part of a multidisciplinary team that delivers services to children and young people aged 4–25 in mainstream schools, colleges, and specialist settings, including those with Autism, Deafness, Down Syndrome, Developmental Language Disorder, PMLD, Dyslexia, and more.ResponsibilitiesAssess and manage a caseload of children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN).Deliver specialist programmes individually or in small groups.Provide advice to parents, carers and teaching staff; facilitate training and modelling of therapeutic techniques.Maintain accurate records and the documentation of progress, outcomes and evaluations.Collaborate with head teachers, SEND coordinators, and other agencies to promote inclusion and transition support.Participate in clinical audit, service development, and research activities.Execute mandatory training and continue professional development as required.QualificationsDegree level education (or equivalent).HCPC registration and active RCSLT registration.Experience as a paediatric speech and language therapist.Strong organisational and communication skills.Commitment to safeguarding, child protection, and best practice.Salary£44,660.21 to £53,046.29 per annum (inclusive of HCAS). Salary is pro‑rated for part‑time or term‑time working.Contract & Working PatternPermanent.
