Associate/Senior Associate

We are seeking a talented and motivated Associate/Senior Associate with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience to join our highly regarded Family department at our Liverpool office. We work hard to hold onto this reputation by really looking after each one and ensuring they have all the necessary resources at their disposal.If you are passionate about delivering exceptional client service and are looking to develop your career in Family law in a forward thinking and well established firm, we would love to hear from you.Key Duties and Responsibilities Include:Building and establishing strong relationships with the firm’s client base, working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to deliver an effective and seamless client experience.Managing a varied caseload of clients in a profitable and efficient manner, in consultation with the Department Head and to assist other fee earners in the team.Support department initiatives for marketing and business development, and contributing to the organisation, development and continued success of the Family department.Effective management and supervision of junior members of the team, using your training and motivational skills to contribute to our positive team environment.Taking responsibility for your financial contribution to the firm, including meeting expected levels of chargeable recoverable hours, ensuring accurate and timely time recording, and supporting effective billing and cash collection performance.Maintaining your expertise by staying up to date with new legal developments and changes in legislation, meeting CPD and compliance requirements.Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.Experience of assisting on a range of Family work including:High-net-worth divorce and financial remedy.Pre and post nuptial agreements.Privately funded children work.Knowledge of legal principles and court procedures in relation to family cases.Experience in confidently meeting deadlines, prioritising tasks and effectively managing your workload.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to handle sensitive client issues and empathise with clients.Ensure excellent service standards and maintain high client satisfaction.Track record for supporting initiatives for business development.Working for JMWAs well as a rewarding career, JMW offers its colleagues many other opportunities and benefits, including:A minimum of 25 days' annual leave (increasing with length of service) plus office closure between Christmas and New YearTravel Insurance – covering you and eligible family membersDeath In Service - 3 x basic salaryPrivate Medical Insurance (subject to opting in) and option of contributing to add eligible family membersIncome Protection - cover of up to 75% of salaryAccess to an interest free travel pass/parking loanA one-hour early finish, one Friday a monthTwo days a year to do charitable work, with a huge variety of events to get involved inThe opportunity to participate in sports teams, hobby clubs, and social eventsAccess to our Employee Assistance Programme and trained Mental Health First Aiders #J-18808-Ljbffr
