OverviewStaff Nurse - Orthopaedic / Fracture clinicLocation: Wrightington, Wigan and Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, WiganResponsibilitiesProvide high standard of care to adults and children with Trauma and Orthopaedic injuries in a clinic setting.Participate in and assist with new developments including the nurse-led dressing clinic and the virtual clinic.Uphold the NMC Code of Conduct and adhere to Trust policies and procedures.Communicate effectively with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and high-quality care.Assess, plan, implement treatment and care in an outpatient setting.Qualifications and ExperienceEssential: Registered Nurse (RGN), basic education (Maths and English), recent CPD; experience working independently and as part of a team; knowledge of current clinical and professional issues; ability to communicate in English to an appropriate standard.Desirable: Degree or diploma; tissue viability course; orthopaedic course; post-qualification experience; some knowledge of trauma and orthopaedics and wound care.Knowledge and SkillsEssential: Update knowledge of current clinical and professional issues; excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.Desirable: Basic computer skills (HIS).DetailsBand: Band 5Salary: £31,049 to £37,796 per annum, pro rataContract: SecondmentWorking pattern: Full-time, Part-time, Job share, Flexible workingJob location: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary, Wigan Lane, Wigan, WN1 2NN #J-18808-Ljbffr
