Binnies' geotechnical team continues to grow due to ongoing successes in tendering. As we enter the next water regulatory period (AMP8), we will provide geotechnical input for most UK water companies, focusing on storm spill reduction and supporting the development of new reservoirs to safeguard future drinking water supplies.Our frameworks also include support for the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales, and the Canals and River Trust.With this growth, we are offering advanced geotechnical services and taking on complex designs, including temporary works. This presents exciting opportunities for staff to learn new skills and participate in the expansion of our services. Many schemes are design and build, allowing us to see our designs come to life through construction.These Senior Engineer roles will support junior colleagues and involve a mix of originating and checking designs.About the Role:Checking the work of junior staffDesigning diverse geotechnical engineering solutionsDesign and supervision of ground investigationsCollating and interpreting ground investigation resultsPreparing sections and drawings illustrating geological conditionsConducting site visitsYou should possess and demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, and knowledge:A Masters degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (preferred)Chartered status with ICE or IoM3 (ideally)A full UK driving license, as site visits are part of the roleYou should also have:The ability to work remotelyExperience working in multidisciplinary teams with professionals, stakeholders, and contractorsA proactive, methodical approach to problem-solvingSuccess in designing, planning, and organizing tasksA passion for engineeringIf you seek a workplace that empowers growth, values respect and diversity, and promotes work-life balance with flexible arrangements, Binnies is the place for you.We foster a strong ‘ENGAGED’ culture rooted in caring for our employees’ wellbeing and inclusivity.
