Additional payments may also apply depending on location.It is our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.The availability windows indicate the periods of time during the week we would like you to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you will have 3 weeks' notice of exactly when your shifts will be. Click here to read more about the networksClick here to read more about the benefits available for colleaguesYou will be responsible forDelivering your part of our customer shopping trip by:Ensuring the van and trays are clean and tidyLeaving the back yard clean and free of rubbish, picking up litter as neededWashing trays as part of the tray wash processLoading the van as required and checking the van for roadworthinessTalking to the customer about any changes to their order, including short code items and substitutions, and offering a refund for anything unsatisfactoryTaking care of products/deliveries as if they were your ownExplaining to the customer that substitutions will not incur extra chargesDelivering during the customer’s time slotCalling the customer before arriving if you are earlyCalling the store/centre if running 30 minutes or more lateYou will needBuild relationships with colleagues to create a team spirit and work together to make the store the best it can be for customersBe warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say thank youAct quickly to respond to changing customer needs and embrace change within the storeEnergetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, balancing home and workShare ideas with the Manager and colleagues on how to improve the store for customersA valid UK/EU/EEA Driving licence (Full or Automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty pointsAbout usOur vision at Tesco is to become every customer’s favourite way to shop, whether at home or on the move.
