We’re dedicated to delivering the best possible standards in design, build quality, and service for our customers.We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic individual who will share this passion and join our friendly team at Hopkins Homes, based in Bury St Edmunds.LocationBury St Edmunds, England, United KingdomKey ResponsibilitiesTake ownership of pre‑development of a project upon confirmation from the Land Department and handover meeting with the Engineer.Manage technical elements of the planning process and demonstrate a strong commercial commitment to maximising profit by value engineering designs.Identify and manage risk within projects, ensure the risk register is regularly updated and that consultants incorporate risk assessment and CDM procedures in their designs.Coordinate the preparation of the Pretender Health and Safety Plan and Temporary Works design.Appoint, brief, challenge, assist and manage consulting engineers and other external consultants and agencies in the delivery of cost‑effective design solutions.Liaise with consultants, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure preparation of technical support information.Procure, manage and coordinate utilities, including new supplies and diversions.Deliver key information, reports, assessments/status updates, activity analysis and recommendations relating to efficient technical solutions and technical matters to optimise land purchase, planning and build activity.Actively manage external consultants to ensure all development technical information is received, coordinated, checked for purpose and efficiency, and distributed on time and within budget.Coordinate the communication and distribution of design drawings and specifications to the wider business.Prepare and maintain project delivery, implementing ‘stop gate’ milestones and control programmes and maintain tracking documents for monitoring progress and for status reports to the Technical Director and Senior Management Team.Ensure all drawings/details meet Local Authority and NHBC requirements.Lead and chair monthly Project Team Meetings up to the point of groundworks tender pack issue, then hand over these meetings to the Commercial Department.Manage the technical fee budgets.Required Skills & ExperienceExcellent design ability and detailed technical knowledge of planning, architectural, civil engineering and building construction.Experience in delivering code for sustainable homes solutions.Experience in Authority and Utility Design requirements together with associated legislation within the construction industry.Previous experience delivering private and affordable projects and managing multiple complex developments concurrently.Experience in dealing with customers (internal and external) to improve product specification and design.Benefits PackageBonus SchemeCompany Pension SchemeLife Assurance26 days holiday with additional bank holidaysHoliday Buy SchemeEmployee Assistance ProgrammeSeniority LevelMid‑Senior levelEmployment TypeFull‑time #J-18808-Ljbffr
