Consultant Geriatrician – Specialist Stroke, Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a leading provider of high quality care in West Cheshire and surrounding areas. This full‑time, 10 sessions per week post (rotating between General Geriatrics and Stroke Medicine) supports the Acute Geriatrics Team and offers opportunities to influence service development. Key Responsibilities Lead specialist stroke care as part of the Acute Geriatrics Team. Support Acute Frailty services and other subspecialty services. Participate in the job plan rotates through General Geriatrics cover and Stroke Medicine cover. Contribute to service development and innovation in Elderly Medicine. Requirements & Candidates' Information Consultant geriatrician with a specialist interest in stroke and acute geriatrics. Commitment to the trust’s values and competence‑based recruitment. Applicants must pay for a DBS check; the cost will be deducted from salary over the first three months. DBS Update Service (£16 per year) is encouraged. New NHS entrants will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above. Applicants are advised to apply early; the vacancy may close early if numerous applications are received.
