Key Responsibilities Lead month‑end close, balance sheet ownership and cashflow reporting Produce accurate statutory accounts (prepared fully in‑house) Maintain up‑to‑date accounting compliance and technical standards Oversee investment accounting and reporting Line manage and coach AP and AR teams (2 direct reports) Enhance service quality, reduce days‑to‑pay and improve internal processes Maintain and develop financial policies, procedures and controls Lead statutory audit and all associated preparation Manage tax accounting processes, including considerations for capital gains tax on investment portfolios Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure ongoing compliance Lead organisational readiness for upcoming e‑invoicing requirements (2029) Drive continuous improvement across financial operations Provide strong technical advice and guidance to the wider business About You You will thrive in an environment where technical strength, ownership and hands‑on delivery are essential. To be successful in this role you will need to meet the following criteria: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Experience of working in a SME environment where you have to be hands‑on Strong technical accounting background Experience leading statutory accounting, audit and compliance Industry experience (not straight from practice) Hands‑on mindset, comfortable delivering without offshore support Experience with tax accounting and an understanding of capital gains tax Experience in continuous improvement or control enhancement programmes Strong coaching and mentoring approach Seniority level Mid‑Senior level Employment type Full‑time Job function Accounting / Auditing and Finance Industries Technology, Information and Media #J-18808-Ljbffr
