The Role
We are seeking a caring, patient and motivated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, social/emotional challenges, and other learning differences.
Key Responsibilities
*
Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with special educational needs.
*
Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans and behaviour support plans.
*
Support pupils to access the curriculum and develop independence and confidence.
*
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure consistent support.
*
Promote inclusion and positive behaviour across the school.
About You
*
Experience working with children with special educational needs
*
Understanding of autism, ADHD, or communication difficulties.
*
A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic approach to supporting learning.
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
*
Relevant qualifications or personal experience.
