Principal Lawyer

Principal Lawyer (Commercial and Criminal Litigation) Enfield Legal Services are seeking to recruit an experienced lawyer for the role of Principal Lawyer (Commercial and Criminal Litigation). You will report directly to the Director of Law and Governance and will be a member of the departmental management team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented and ambitious individual to join a highly regarded, professional and committed in-house legal team and leading on commercial litigation, employment and licensing but also supporting high level work in housing and judicial review. Local Government experience is essential. What we want is someone who has a real expertise in Commercial and Criminal litigation and employment but also housing and law too. We need someone who can personally handle a caseload of complex legal work and who can also lead and manage a team of other highly skilled individuals. You will need to demonstrate excellent client care skills and will have a good knowledge of local authority law and practice. You will be required to deal with chief officers and elected members and will be required to attend some evening meetings from time to time.
