Charge Nurse - Clyde Join to apply for the Charge Nurse - Clyde role at NHS Scotland. Responsibilities Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families and visitors. Apply relevant policies and statutory requirements within the ward and hospital governance framework and communicate to wider ward team. Role model respect and inclusion within the ward. Identify deficits in skills mix and safe staffing levels and act to address these. Actively support the junior staff and student nurses on placement within the ward. Engage in collaborative problem solving, supporting and encouraging nursing staff to develop solutions. Deputise for the ward manager when required. Contribute to the process of collaboratively assessing and acting on risks of harm, danger and abuse. Qualifications It is essential that candidates have an active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and have proven leadership skills within their current role, as well as relevant experience post registration and demonstrable expertise working within an acute ward setting.
