OverviewSENIOR ELECTRICAL PROJECT ENGINEER – ENVIRONMENT – ANNESLEY. We are looking for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to join the team at Galliford Try, working within our Environment Business Unit on high value Severn Trent Water Infrastructure projects. Based from our Woodside House office in Annesley, you’ll also travel across various sites in the region, ideally living in or near Nottinghamshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of high value, impactful Water Infrastructure Projects, supporting them from early scoping through to construction completion.What you will be doingReporting to the Project / Delivery Manager, you'll play a vital role in project delivery—from initial surveys and investigations to managing design and supporting on-site construction. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless electrical project execution, stakeholder coordination, and driving quality outcomes across high value Severn Trent water infrastructure projects.Key responsibilities include:Supporting the delivery of Water Infrastructure projects throughout all project phases.Coordinating with internal teams and external designers (Structural, Electrical & Mechanical).Managing subcontractors during site investigations, design, and construction stages.Producing construction-stage documentation and securing necessary permits and approvals.Participating in design and progress meetings and mentoring junior team members.Ensuring project compliance using our Common Data Environment (CDE).Driving safety and collaboration in line with our Health, Safety and Environment culture.About YouYou’re a skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer or Electrical Engineer ready to step up, with a passion for delivering infrastructure projects and a clear commitment to sustainability and safety.To be successful, you will have:Recognised electrical engineering qualifications and relevant industry experience.Strong understanding of NEC 4 contracts and sustainable development principles.Knowledge of CDM regulations, current legislation, QA, and Health & Safety procedures.Experience managing subcontractors and working with multi-disciplinary teams.Great communication skills—able to challenge, collaborate, and support others constructively.A proactive, flexible, and team-oriented approach.What You BringA strong ethical mindset—open, honest, and accountable.Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.A desire to continuously learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to our purpose, values, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.Resilience, relationship-building skills, and a genuine can-do attitude.What We Can Offer in ReturnWith an impressive order book of over £4.1 billion we are one of the industry’s leading principal contractors, affording you the opportunity to work on some of the UK’s most exciting projects offering you stability as well as the chance to stretch your capabilities and realise long held career goals.
