IT Technical Lead - High Level Clearance Needed Role: Technical Lead Clearance level: High Level Clearance Required IR35 Status: Inside IR35, Negotiable rates Key Responsibilities Take full ownership of allocated work packages and drive them through design, build, test, and release into live service. Provide strong technical leadership across Wintel-based and multi-platform environments. Navigate and resolve obstacles including technical blockers, organisational bureaucracy, and interpersonal challenges. Assess technical information from engineers, ensuring accuracy and calling out inconsistencies or blockers early. Coordinate with engineering, architecture, test, change, and operations teams to maintain momentum and deliver on time. Ensure that technical decisions are aligned with programme goals, compliance requirements, and best practices. Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and elevate appropriately when required. Required Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Delivery Lead, or Senior Engineer in complex IT environments. Strong understanding of Wintel platforms (Windows Server, AD, group policy, infrastructure services, virtualisation, etc). Broad technical awareness across networks, security, applications, and integrations. Ability to challenge technical teams constructively and separate fact from fiction. Demonstrated success driving delivery in complex, bureaucratic, or high‑pressure environments. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills.
