Aramark UK are currently recruiting a Coffee Shop Assistant to join our team working at New College Durham, DH1 5ES. We are looking for a keen coffee enthusiast to make specialty hot drinks, alongside providing excellent customer service on the tills. You will be working with a fantastic team and supporting the day-to-day running of the unit. A day in the life of a Coffee Shop Assistant : Making hot and cold drinks to spec – a fantastic way to show off your latte art skills or learn new ones. Operating the till, processing cash and card transactions, upselling products and sizes and providing excellent customer service to our customers. General cleaning of the unit, including sweeping / mopping the dining areas, rubbish disposal, general clean down of the unit and ensuring all designated cleaning tasks are complete. Serving prepackaged / made to order food and cakes – ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are followed. Stocking up and rotating stock daily, ensuring the unit stock is faced up throughout the day and dated correctly. You'll be set up for success if you have : Previous Barista experience is desirable, however not essential as full training will be given on site Strong customer service skills All applications will treated in the strictest confidence.
