Role Overview The post holder will independently manage a clinical caseload within the inpatient multi-disciplinary speciality teams. They will supervise and support band 5 members of staff. There is a strong emphasis on student education in all clinical teams and a variety of models, with support from senior clinical leads. There is a well-established in service education programme, where you can build upon your clinical skills, and develop managerial skills with support from senior clinical leads. The post holder will also contribute to the in house training and development programme. Attendance at post registration courses is also supported. On‑call and Working PatternCandidates will be expected to and partake in our overnight emergency on-call rota, so previous experience of working on an on-call rota or working within respiratory / intensive care field is essential. You will also be expected to work as part of a seven day rota. This post requires a flexible approach to working and may require the post holder to work as part of a rota'd seven day working pattern as necessary. Staff may be required to work across multiple sites dependent upon the needs of the service. This includes both static and rotational posts. Rotations We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable band 6 to join our inpatient band 6 rotations at the Princess Royal University Hospital and Orpington Hospital. Trauma and orthopaedics Elective orthopaedics Respiratory and ITU Stroke rehabilitation including assessment and management of patients on our hyperacute stroke unit Inpatient neurological rehabilitation on the Ontario rehab unit and Frank Cooksey rehabilitation unit Neurological outpatients Acute medicine and frailty Qualifications wide ranging clinical experience good communication and interpersonal skills a passion for delivering high quality patient centred care Experience looking to develop leadership skills prior to specialising in a lead role About the Trust The Trust provides a full range of local and specialist services across its five sites.
