Job Summary We are seeking experienced qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapists to join our supportive and compassionate team. Therapists will provide both face‑to‑face and online sessions, enabling a blended approach that supports work‑life balance. The role includes participation in team meetings and supervision, with Thursday PM non‑clinical time for meetings, forums and CPD. Key Responsibilities Deliver evidence‑based CBT to adults with depression and a range of anxiety disorders in line with NICE guidance and the Sheffield Talking Therapies manual. Provide a minimum of 20 clinical contact hours (pro‑rated) per week, meeting National Talking Therapies standards (minimum 52% recovery, 48% reliable recovery and 67% reliable improvement). Assess patient suitability for CBT within a stepped‑care model, coordinate referrals, and manage risk collaboratively with the patient. Maintain accurate clinical records, complete session outcome measures and adhere to data collection and confidentiality policies. Engage patients from diverse cultural backgrounds, using interpreters where necessary, demonstrating equal opportunity and cultural competence. Offer at least one early and one late appointment per week, with occasional Saturday work as required, and work across Sheffield according to demand. Participate in mandatory professional and service non‑clinical time: supervision, line management, meetings, forums and CPD. Train and supervise other mental health professionals, contributing to service improvement and performance reviews. Advise on the practice and delivery of CBT, fostering positive relationships with primary and secondary care staff. Qualifications & Experience Postgraduate qualification in CBT and BABCP accreditation or provisional accreditation. High‑level skills and experience working successfully with adults experiencing depression and anxiety disorders, preferably in primary care. Commitment to delivering evidence‑based CBT and responding effectively to patient needs. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a supportive team. Willingness to train in additional modalities (EMDR, ACT, MBCT). Working Conditions Minimum 22.5 hours per week with a flexible early/late appointment schedule and occasional Saturday work. Thursday afternoon service‑wide non‑clinical time for meetings, forums and CPD. Physical presence required for full working hours if service need arises. Requires DBS Update Service membership; employees pay the annual fee but may claim back through the Trust’s Employee Expenses Reimbursement Policy. Compliance with Trust safeguarding policies and health and safety obligations.
