Main Duties and Responsibilities Participate in the monitoring of standards of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. Provide direct care to patients, demonstrating expert knowledge of all clinical specialities and acting as a role model. Participate in audit and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with Trust policy, NMC, and HPC guidelines. Be competent in facilitating emergency service coverage across all specialties during elective and non‑elective periods. Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with Trust policy and NMC/HPC guidelines. Execute procedures and techniques in line with local competencies and agreed policies and standards. Protect patient rights, dignity, and confidentiality at all times. Advocate for patients in all matters related to their care, treatment, and welfare. Assist with departmental cleanliness and operate suite preparation, clearing, and cleaning. Qualifications Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner. Experience Existing experience as an Anaesthetic/Recovery practitioner. Desirable Experience Scrub or Anaesthetic Recovery experience. Teach or assess qualifications or willingness to work towards. Diploma, degree, or willingness to work towards relevant practical experience within departmental specialities. Special Skills & Knowledge Excellent interpersonal skills. Computer skills. Specific skills relevant to area of practice. Recruitment and selection skills. Statutory Registration Registered with NMC or HCPC.
