Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer – Bristol We have a brand‑new opportunity for a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team based in our Bristol office. About The Role It is an exciting time to join our Bristol team. We have a well‑established reputation for delivering outstanding design on built‑environment projects throughout Bristol, the Southwest and further afield. Working alongside specialist engineers and consultants, you will join a collaborative, knowledgeable, highly engaged team that loves what they do and offers a supportive, flexible and high‑performing work culture. As a Senior or Principal Engineer you will support and deliver designs for a range of project types and sizes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and consultants, delivering design solutions of the highest standard for our clients, while securing repeat and new business opportunities. A critical aspect of this role is supporting and developing a team of technically competent, collaborative, and highly engaged team members. What you can expect to Be responsible for the day‑to‑day technical delivery of the electrical design services for multi‑disciplinary projects across several building sectors. Lead the development of initial strategic concepts for projects, ensuring solutions are appropriate for the brief and regulatory standards. Interact regularly with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a communicative, collaborative and timely approach to delivery. This client‑facing role involves attending project meetings and translating the brief within the project team. Work with the team leader to monitor fee expenditure, resources and work delivered. Mentor and support our ‘next‑gen’ professionals, including apprentices and graduates. About You Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects. Experience of modern technical delivery processes and use of relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux. Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors/architects in a design‑oriented/consultant role. Self‑awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity. Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.
