FS Project Manager - Senior/Assistant Manager (Grant Thornton US) Grant Thornton is seeking experienced Project Managers to join our Consulting team. The role offers a chance to contribute to and support a variety of client engagements, helping drive project team success within the project management and change and innovation space. Responsibilities Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver and manage projects in finance transformation, operational excellence, project & change management, strategy, digital, and business transformation. Manage delivery of complex projects for key clients, ensuring high‑quality outputs and meeting tight deadlines. Define and drive projects across all stages of the project life cycle. Support preparation of comprehensive project documentation, including status updates, governance updates, RAID logs, and project initiation documents. Develop comprehensive project plans, define roles and responsibilities, and create clear communication strategies. Collaborate in cross‑functional teams spanning multiple business units and functions. Map end‑to‑end customer journeys for retail banking products such as personal loans, mortgages, and credit cards. Support senior management in overseeing and executing project delivery. Business Development Act as liaison between multi‑faceted project teams to ensure seamless communication and stakeholder alignment. Facilitate workshops to define project scopes and business requirements. Engage stakeholders proactively across various disciplines to drive project momentum and success. Support and drive business development initiatives, including preparation of proposals and tenders for new client opportunities. Qualifications Education: A third‑level degree with a strong academic record. Certification: Project Management certification (Waterfall, Agile, or tailored approaches). Experience: Minimum of 3‑5 years of relevant experience depending on the level. Skills: Strong project/programme management experience, financial services industry knowledge, understanding of retail and commercial banking products, analytical and interpersonal skills, multi‑tasking abilities, and ability to meet deadlines. Competencies: Proven track record with large multi‑disciplinary teams, expertise in C‑suite engagement, balance of big‑picture thinking with detail orientation, curiosity for new business opportunities, creative problem‑solving mindset, and initiative‑driven approach.
