Specialist Optometrist – Candino CA – Candino CA We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated optometrist to join our Optometry service, working within core optometry clinics and extended scope roles in the ophthalmology sub‑specialty clinics (medical retina). This role offers an ideal opportunity for experienced community optometrists wishing to expand their knowledge; previous hospital experience is not essential. Comprehensive training in hospital clinical work will be provided, including paediatric refraction, specialist contact lens, low vision and development of clinical experience in an extended role. Main Duties Provide adult and paediatric refraction, partial sight management, ultrasound biometry and specialist contact lens fitting and management, offering specialist treatment and advice. Provide extended specialist role services in collaboration with Consultant Ophthalmologists; examine, diagnose, and independently manage patients (including prescribing medication) in the sub‑specialty services. Partner with the orthotic department to deliver a paediatric service.
