General Manager role at Parkwood Leisure Rufford Abbey Country Park up to £50,000 + Bonus scheme Rufford, North Nottingham area This is an outstanding career opportunity with a market leader committed to providing a diverse and meaningful range of leisure and culture related activities for the local communities in which we serve. Rufford Country Park is a beautiful country park in Nottinghamshire steeped in history, we are seeking an innovative, committed individual with boundless energy to take this ‘Jewel in the Crown’ in Nottinghamshire to the next level in terms of a visitor attraction and build upon the successes already implemented since Parkwood Leisure took over the contract in 2017. Reporting to the Assistant Regional Director, the successful candidate will be required to take full responsibility for the effective management of this challenging contract ensuring the highest service standards possible. The post holder will ensure that the service provided meets the requirements of the client as defined within the service specification as well as consistently driving the commercial performance of the site whilst being sensitive to the conservation aspects of the park. The successful candidate is expected to have a recognised management qualification (Preferably at Degree level) as well as a track record of managing busy visitor attractions or a strong leisure sector background. Experience or awareness of Local Authority contract management is desirable.
