The Opportunity:
We are working with a leading client to find an experienced Senior Project Manager with an Electrical bias to join their team on a landmark commercial development project. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with a strong track record in managing large-scale electrical packages, particularly in fast-track construction environments.

The successful Senior Project Manager will take ownership of the implementation, procurement, and completion of electrical packages, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest quality, on time, and within budget.

The Role:
As the Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering a large-scale commercial development by managing the electrical packages of building services from end-to-end. From tendering and contractor negotiation through to project close-out, you’ll ensure smooth coordination and exceptional results. Having good knowledge of Building Services on the electrical side as well as experience using Asite would be essential here for this Senior Project Manager role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety standards across all project activities.
  • Handle commercial negotiations, resolve design changes, and minimise cost/programme impacts.
  • Oversee contractor performance, including quality control, progress monitoring, and programme adherence.
  • Coordinate with design consultants to ensure timely delivery of technical documents and drawings.
  • Develop and manage detailed scope documents for tender packages.
  • Manage contractor submittals, inspections, and testing to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
  • Lead the tender process, including pre-qualification, evaluation, and contractor selection.
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation, including final reports and lessons learned, at project close-out.

Your Background:

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • A relevant qualification/degree (Building Services is desirable).
  • Experience managing electrical packages on large-scale commercial developments.
  • A strong understanding of fast-track design and construction programmes.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety, with the ability to assess and comment on risk assessments and method statements.
