Our purpose is to help established SMEs one of the last major underserved opportunities in Fintech.Established SMEs are the backbone of local communities - representing over a third of our economy - yet have been largely neglected both by traditional high street banks and modern fintech providers.Role DescriptionIn this role you will play a key part in supporting the banks Operational Risk function helping to maintain the Operational Risk Framework (ORF) related policies and procedures as well as ensuring the effective operation of the banks GRC system and processes.You will work closely with the Senior Operational Risk Manager to deliver the Operational Risk Assurance plan including control testing assurance reviews deep-dive assessments and scenario analysis feeding into ICAAP and ILAAP. A core aspect of the role will involve partnering with the First Line of Defence on the Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process including annual refreshes while maintaining the Risk Register to ensure risks are accurately recorded monitored and action plans remain on track.You will also contribute to operational risk reporting by providing both quantitative and qualitative input support the development and monitoring of the banks Risk Appetite Statement and Risk Management Framework and assist senior risk leaders including the Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Risk Officer in analysing the banks overall risk profile producing monthly reports and monitoring Key Risk Indicators.Principal AccountabilitiesProvide hands-on Operational Risk support across the bank from a Second Line perspective.Operational Risk assurance including Controls Testing - provision of assurance reporting and identification capability to provide a full picture of the banks Operational Risks and related controls.Working with the First Line and supporting the wider Compliance team colleagues to help embed the Three Lines of Defence providing advice and guidance as necessary.Provide support in monitoring identifying and reporting of the Banks overall risk profile.Promote a risk-focused culture across the bank and embodying the banks values.Personal Attributes & ExperienceStrong Operational Risk knowledge and experience including RCSAs Controls and Risk Libraries Risk Event reporting Risk Registers.Focused upon delivering results and meeting deadlines.Good clear communicator.Ability to provide necessary challenge in a constructive manner.Strong team player.Working at Allica BankAt Allica Bank we want to ensure our employees have the right tools and environment in which to succeed in their role and in support of our customers.Our employees are at the heart of everything we do so our benefits are designed with you in mind :Full onboarding support and continued development opportunitiesOptions for flexible workingRegular social activitiesPension contributionsDiscretionary bonus schemePrivate health coverLife assuranceFamily friendly policies including enhanced Maternity & Paternity leaveDont tick every boxDont worry if you dont have all the skills or requirements listed on the job description.
