Engineering Supervisor – Sodexo Sodexo is looking for a skilled and motivated Engineering Supervisor to join our Technical Services team based at the Medway and Greenwich Campus, University of Greenwich. This role involves leading the on‑site residential M&E team, overseeing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring compliance, and playing a hands‑on part in both planned and reactive maintenance. You will be a key point of contact for ensuring the smooth running of essential building services across campus, working closely with the Engineering Lead, Facilities Manager, and the wider Sodexo team. Key details: 2 positions (1 at Medway Campus and 1 at Greenwich Campus) 40 hours per week Monday to Friday From £44,000 plus excellent benefits 26 days annual leave excluding public holidays What You’ll Do Lead and supervise a team of on‑site engineers, supporting performance, training, and development Oversee the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance across M&E and building fabric systems Coordinate daily operations with the Helpdesk team to ensure timely response to service requests Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies, Safe Systems of Work, and Permit to Work procedures Carry out routine audits to maintain high standards of quality, compliance, and documentation Manage subcontractors and specialist suppliers, from scheduling to quality assurance and safety checks What You Bring HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject Extensive practical experience in building services and plant engineering with formal qualifications and relevant experience within a defined discipline, e.g. electrical, mechanical or similar. Previous appointment as Authorised Person for one or more of the following disciplines: LV, Mechanical Services, Confined Spaces, Boiler and Pressure Systems or similar Experience working within or around World Heritage Listed properties, buildings and environments Excellent communications both written and verbal Numerate and computer literate Previous experience of managing a team of engineers Desirable Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations Membership of Institute of Leadership and Management IOSH Managing Safety Emergency first aid qualification What We Offer Holiday entitlement starts at 26 days Contributory pension scheme Countless opportunities to grow within the company We’re a Disability Confident Leader employer.
