Senior Project Manager East Midlands – roles also available in Derby, Coventry, Nottingham, Rugby and Ruddington. Job Description An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Project Manager to join the team at Galliford Try. Ideally you will be based in or around the East of England and will travel across multiple sites and projects in the region. You will play an integral role in directing a multi‑disciplinary team to ensure each stage of the project is safe, progresses on time, on budget and to the right quality standards. Participate in creating a "knowingly safe" working environment. Ensure the company’s health, safety & sustainability standards are applied on the project. Plan and co‑ordinate the project prior to commencement. Co‑ordinate and control initial set‑up including initiating company systems and procedures. Apply the principles of CDM on the project. Control and monitor efficient progress of the works. Liaise with the design team to ensure the design deliverables are received in time for efficient delivery of the site works. Develop and foster collaborative working relationships with the client, client’s representatives, supply chain and internal teams. Maintain a culture whereby everyone continually seeks to satisfy customer requirements. Administer the valuation system, maximise cash flow and profitability. Ensure systems are in place so that the quality of work meets prescribed standards. Plan, co‑ordinate, maintain and develop staff and operative levels to undertake current and prospective workloads. Monitor and record individual performances, encouraging and disciplining as necessary. About You You are passionate, a strong leader, and committed to delivering excellence. You should have solid experience delivering complex MOJ projects as a Senior Project Manager, or be a successful Project Manager ready for this next step, with an HNC or degree in construction and a valid CSCS card. You will work safely, motivate and manage site teams, and strive for exceptional levels of performance.
