We are recruiting for a Paralegal to join our Commercial Dispute Resolution team in Bristol.

Your Role

As a Paralegal you will be responsible for the following:

  1. Opening files, conflict checking, organising documents including ongoing file management such as filing, photocopying, scanning, closing.
  2. Creating and maintaining excel spreadsheets, databases, portals and graphic based analysis.
  3. Liaising with clients and third parties.
  4. Managing a mixed case load of matters, including pre-action correspondence, issuing proceedings and then taking responsibility for the conduct of proceedings under supervision (disclosure, drafting witness evidence, trial preparation).
  5. Working as a part of a team on larger cases, including in particular document review and management.
  6. Managing key dates.
  7. Billing and arranging for third parties to be paid.
Your Skills and Experience
  1. Previous legal assistant experience is preferable.
  2. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  3. Accuracy, good organisational skills and flexibility.
  4. Attention to detail and the ability to work under tight timescales.
  5. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
