Full Time Fixed Term for 24 months Applications are invited for a Research Fellow position within the School of Electronics and Computer Science at the University of Southampton. The work will involve the development of a miniature deployable system for analysing microparticles in water. The post is part of a three‑year European project (Aquamon) and you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with partners throughout Europe. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to take the lead in preparing reports, presenting results to the consortium and writing research papers. You must also be able to work effectively in a team and organise time, tasks and responsibilities with other team members. The post will be held in the School of Electronics and Computer Science (ECS). Qualifications The successful candidate must have a PhD or equivalent professional qualification and experience in a relevant physical/engineering science. The candidates must possess detailed knowledge and experience in design and fabrication of microfluidic systems, with demonstrable skills in sensors, micro‑fabrication, electronics and programming.
