About the Role We are recruiting for a Substance Misuse Healthcare Assistant to support the wider team with tasks such as observations, second‑sig to support pharmacy, helping out with recovery and supporting with the wider ISMS Team. Hours & Salary Hours: 37.5 hours per week – Tuesday to Saturday, 0800‑1600Salary: Full‑time, annual salary up to £30,684 (FTE) – depending on experience How we support you Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Regional and national career development opportunities Our bespoke Learning Management System Support from the wider team Eligibility: Candidates must have a legal right to work in the UK. Responsibilities Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care. Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery. Qualifications Required NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care Experience or knowledge of Substance Misuse Non‑judgmental and compassionate approach Excellent communication skills Good IT skills and IT literacy Ability to work within a busy environment Ability to work unsupervised while following policy and procedures Although not essential, ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
