This Part‑Time Permanent office‑based role is flexible and offers a comprehensive package.Job Type: Part‑Time, Permanent – Office BasedSalary: £21,153 Per Annum (FTE £27,500)Location: Mere, Wiltshire, BA12Schedule: 30‑Hour Working Week, Monday to Friday. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a motivated and organised individual to join their team as a Procurement Assistant.About The Role: As Procurement Assistant, you will provide vital support to the procurement department, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of supply chain operations. Working closely with the Buyer & Procurement Officer, you will deliver high‑quality administrative support and assist in the development and implementation of effective procurement processes.Key Responsibilities:Provide proactive administrative support for all aspects of procurement, including accurate record‑keeping, purchase order preparation, and supplier documentation management.Place orders while keeping all MRP (Winman) PO delivery dates and data up to date.Collaborate with the Buyer & Procurement Officer to develop and update procurement procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Support the import process, coordinating with freight forwarding services and the goods‑in team to ensure timely delivery and accurate system tracking.Assist in conducting supplier evaluations and maintaining supplier performance metrics.Monitor inventory levels and analyse demand patterns to optimise procurement decisions.Support the procurement team in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers.Liaise with Finance to resolve invoice queries in a timely manner.Stay up‑to‑date with market trends and industry developments to identify potential cost savings and process improvements.Candidate Requirements:Previous experience in a procurement or administrative role.Experience using ERP systems.Strong organisational and time‑management skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Knowledge of import processes and freight forwarding is desirable.Benefits:23 days holiday + Bank holiday (pro‑rate)On‑site parkingAccess to the company gymThe employer fully supports Equality in Employment.
