Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for an Emissions Regulation Engineer to be based at our office/our customer’s site in Gaydon. The Role: As an Emissions Regulation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our vehicles meet global emissions regulations and type approval requirements. You’ll be responsible for interpreting complex regulatory texts, guiding engineering teams through compliance processes, and supporting the development and documentation of emissions strategies across propulsion systems. Area of Responsibility Interpret and apply global emissions regulations (e.g., tailpipe emissions, OBD, CO₂, fuel consumption) to engineering and calibration scenarios. Lead the preparation and submission of regulatory documentation including AES (Auxiliary Emission Strategies), BES (Base Emission Strategies), and AECD (Auxiliary Emission Control Device) justifications. Collaborate with calibration, software, and systems engineering teams to ensure emissions strategies are compliant and traceable. Support type approval processes and liaise with regulatory authorities and technical services. Maintain awareness of evolving emissions legislation and assess its impact on current and future vehicle programmes. Develop and maintain structured documentation and compliance workflows aligned with internal and external standards. Knowledge / Experience Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory language. Solid understanding of modern powertrain systems and their influence on emissions behavior. Familiarity with calibration workflows and software version control systems. Experience in regulatory compliance, systems engineering, or product development. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Qualification Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or Systems Engineering (or equivalent). Experience with emissions compliance in the automotive industry. Familiarity with global automotive regulations and regulatory tools.
