On behalf of our client, Butler Rose are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and growing company at their head office in the Blackpool area. What You'll Be Doing: Running weekly payroll (approx. 70 employees) and monthly payroll using Sage 50 Payroll Managing PAYE, pensions, RTI submissions, SSP, P11Ds, and HMRC processes Processing purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions using Sage 200 Handling project accounting, bank reconciliations, cashbook posting, and BACS payments Assisting with month‑end processes: accruals, prepayments, VAT returns, and balance sheet reconciliations Providing general support to the finance team on ad‑hoc tasks What We're Looking For: Solid experience using Sage 50 Payroll and Sage 200 Accounts Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently Good working knowledge of Excel and Word (intermediate level) A confident communicator and reliable team player Why This Role? Office‑based – work closely with a friendly and experienced team Salary: up to £29,000 (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (30 min lunch) Holidays: 23 days + 8 bank holidays Is This the Right Fit for You?
