It's free to apply. Overview We are currently looking for a Fibre Optic Technician to join our client's team. Our client is a leading telecommunications company that specializes in providing high-speed fibre optic network solutions to various industries. Responsibilities Installation and termination of fibre optic cables and connectors. Performing fibre optic splicing and testing using OTDR and other testing equipment. Troubleshooting and resolving fibre optic network issues. Working with various fibre optic connectors, fusion splicers, and other tools and equipment. Adhering to safety guidelines and ensuring all work is performed in a safe manner. Documenting work assignments and completing necessary paperwork. Communicating with team members and project managers to ensure successful completion of projects. Keeping up-to-date with industry standards and latest fibre optic technologies. Requirements Prior experience in fibre optic installation, termination, and splicing. Knowledge of fibre optic testing equipment such as OTDR. Ability to read and interpret fibre optic plans and diagrams. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision. Good communication and teamwork skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different work sites. Availability to work nights, weekends, and overtime as required.
