Supply Chain Planner/junior Merchandiser

The Supply Chain Planner/Junior Merchandiser - Chilled Food called internally as Chilled Replenishment Analyst manages inbound purchase orders to ensure we maintain the required availability of product at our 3rd party chilled distribution centre whilst managing & maintaining our store replenishment routines. The role is responsible for ensuring we maintain target availability at DC, in store and online, ensuring promotions and new ranges are landed and maintained at the required levels.
- The Role

The activities I carry out and what I achieve:

- Inventory Management
- Responsible for all inventory held at our Chilled 3PL warehousing partner. Forecasting, planning, purchasing and product lifecycle.
- BBE management - responsible for reviewing stock at both depot & stores and driving action plans to manage short dated inventory. Working with depot and suppliers to ensure we have stock with sufficient shelf life to maintain availability in store.
- Promo Availability - ensure trackers are updated and promotional availability is delivered to the required levels.
- Range review / NPD - planning & purchasing accountability for the launch of new products. Keeping the range review tracker up to date with all date & quantity exceptions.
- Purchase Order Management:

- Responsible for the calculation, placement and delivery of all Chilled Food orders. Working closely with suppliers and 3PLs to maintain product availability.
- Overdue open order reporting / failed deliveries - update root cause, mitigation and new delivery date / quantity on the reports.
- Open orders / future PO's - ensure they are accurate on the open order report, aligned to the stock budgets and on time with vendors.
- Responsible for maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure on time delivery of Purchase Orders through regular supplier meetings and phone calls.
- On Time in Full (OTIF) - Vendor delivery compliance review and action plan for non-compliance.
- Store Replenishment
- Responsible for running our store replenishment algorithm; ensuring our stores receive the right stock at the right time.
- Adjusting replenishment parameters to account for promotional activity, seasonality and sales trends to ensure availability of product in store through key trading periods.
- Instore Availability (ISA) - Target KPI 97%, ensure trackers are updated and details provided at line level. Concise comments with actions.

Experience
- 3-5 years experience in Supply Chain & inventory planning
- Experience working with Chilled Food in a supply chain planning capacity (desirable)
