Your new company
Your new organisation is the largest of its kind throughout the UK, with a strong base in Doncaster, another near Nottingham and regional bases all over the UK. Part of a European organisation who are constantly improving their business and services. Recentlygone through a strategic change within the Talent team - from L&D to Talent Development and aligned to the new Talent Acquisition team (previously Recruitment) under a Head of Talent.
Your new role
This is an excellent strategic and senior operational L&D/Talent Development role where you will be responsible for influencing the direction and methods of Talent Development within this national organisation.
Your new role as Talent Development Manager will be to review the current Talent Development offering which a strategic eye to recommend and implement "fit for purpose" and true internal Talent Development methods.
You will review the current methods and develop a plan for a variety of job specific, soft skills, technical skills and Leadership Development plans and programmes. Then further develop and implement relevant delivery - supported by an L&D team. This will bea mix of traditional "classroom" and workshop methods as well as further developing the modern and online methods. You will also still be involved in delivery of L&D programmes so will be able to work "operationally".
Working alongside the Head of Talent and the Talent Acquisition Manager you will partner with Senior Managers and Leaders within the business by identify and recommending opportunities for staff recruitment and retention through the improvements to a TalentDevelopment offering that contribute towards organisational strategy and objectives. This will ultimately support the business in building a robust and effective workforce aswell as the talent and succession plans, ensuring a pipeline of talent across thebusiness functions.
This role is hybrid with both home and office working - flexibility to manage your own diary around business needs.

What you'll need to succeed
Solid background and experience working as a Senior L&D Professional in both a strategic and operational capacity.
Ideally from a mix of blue and white collar environments such as logistics and/or a highly regulated environment.
Have experience of developing and delivering Leadership programmes.
Experience of planning, designing, implementing, and delivering L&D programmes
Experience of Apprentice development, Graduate development and other internal development plans such as effective PDPs etc.
Ideally you will be based in either the South Yorkshire or Nottinghamshire areas - nearest head office being Doncaster or Nottinghamshire - with some regional and UK travel - managing your own diary.
