The Role

The business is looking for a Principal Business Analyst. This is a new and vital role within the Change function, supporting the Business to transform Strategic goals into Business Solutions. You will have the opportunity to build your role and a team,working across the entire project lifecycle to gather, analyse and translate specific needs into business solutions recommendations and clear, unambiguous requirements.

Reporting into the Group Head of Change, you will collaborate with project and programme managers, stakeholders from across the business and our tech engineering function to interpret their intent and create recommendations.

This role offers a mix of working from our London Bridge office and from home.

Key Responsibilities
- Resource planning to allocate dedicated analysis resources in line with portfolio and business needs.
- Set the benchmark analysis approach for TRG, creating and establishing clear standards. This will include business requirements documentation, impact assessments, process maps, customer journeys, stakeholder identification, business readiness assessments.
- Work collaboratively with project management teams, business and IT stakeholders, engineering teams to fully understand drivers and challenges.
- Develop and maintain a robust understanding of the TRG businesses, to include knowledge of in-restaurant operations, systems and processes.
- Work closely with engineering delivery managers to ensure UAT criteria and conditions are appropriate.
- Line manage and develop a growing team of permanent and contracted business analysts. You will lead and coach the team, sharing your knowledge and experience.

Required Experience
- Significant and demonstrable track record of business analysis in a highly relevant sector (leisure, hospitality, retail). Your experience will demonstrate that you have expanded the scope of your role over time.
- Experience working alongside tech development/engineering teams
- People management experience, ideally leading a small team of Business Analysts
- Proven knowledge of business analysis methods and tools
- Experience in working with both waterfall and agile methodologies. Ideally you will have previously used Azure Dev Ops to capture and brief requirements to technical teams
- Up to date with business analysis industry initiatives, advances, standards; preferably holding a recognised business analyst qualification

- An inquisitive mind that can analyse complex problems and break them down into clear business requirements.
- A Strong communicator, able to lead teams through ambiguity.
- Takes a proactive and hands on approach to driving delivery.
- A natural collaborator, able to build credibility quickly with stakeholders from all levels of the business.
- Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
