We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic person who will development through this apprenticeship scheme. You will be working closely alongside our Supply Chain Manager and Purchasing Assistant to support the day-to-day procurement challenges. You will be learning on the job and implementing new learning from your course into the workplace. You will be building strong relationships with colleagues around the business and external suppliers. We are excited to be supporting your career and watch you develop into a strong member of the team.

We are keen to hear from someone who wants to make a difference and share our company values, individuals who are ethical, meticulous and passionate about their work, but also have:

- Confidence with numbers and enjoy analytical process and information.
- Ability to multitask, plan ahead and work using own initiative yet be a key member of the team
- Experience with Microsoft Office packages in particular Excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Can do attitude
- Good mathematics and English language skills including English/Maths GCSE (Grade A*-C or 9-4)

**Job role**:

- Converting requisitions into Purchase Orders efficiently and accurately
- Expediting requirements and ensuring that delivery to site is complete and on time
- Supporting on purchasing and accounts payable systems to create greater efficiencies
- Managing the purchasing inbox, escalating urgent requests and completing order confirmations
- Processing of Supplier approvals and Approval database maintenance
- Preparation of documentation for authorisation/approval
- Collation of data for reports, Data Management and project support

By the end of this apprenticeship you will be confident in:

- Operating the SAGE System to raise and manage purchase orders
- Liaising with suppliers to track, negotiate and complete purchasing contracts, according to business requirements
- Ensure business continuity by closely working with production and engineering departments
- Contribute to decisions on processes and logistics planning to achieve on time delivery, best quality and cost efficiency.
- Understanding and completing necessary documentation in a professional manner

**Next Step of your career**:
At the completion of this 18 months long apprenticeship, we will be able to offer additional learning and development opportunities at Insensys. You will have the opportunity to enrol on further apprenticeship courses or imbed your learning in the team.
