As this company have expanded their offering and scope within the live & virtual event, exhibition and installation spaces, the need for IT support for our technical offering has grown considerably. As the demand has grown we now require a dedicated IT Technicianwho will work within the Technical Services team on a day-to-day basis, but reporting into IT to ensure they are carrying out their role within the correct governance framework. The role sits across two teams working collaboratively depending on service needs.
**Main Responsibilities**:
To be the first point of contact for support enquiries around IT event equipment and deal with IT problems and queries from staff either face to face or remotely. You will have the backup of other staff for more complex enquiries, but you will maintain responsibilityfor ensuring the issue is resolved.
To source, purchase, build, maintain, monitor and service our fleet of show laptops
Ensure that software, OS and Antivirus are kept up to date and as standard with no errors.
Ensure that each laptop case contains the appropriate working equipment to enable it to deliver event content.
Maintain records of laptop servicing and updates to ensure we can trace back any issues
To highlight to the IT Infrastructure & Special Projects Manager possible hardware, software or security issues and ensure that the stock levels of laptops are maintained.
To ensure that all IT event equipment is fully operational, up to date and fit for purpose by undertaking all necessary quality checks before it leaves the premises.
Ensure that post-event data is transferred from laptops, iPads and other event devices to the Pb data archives in the appropriate manner with correct locations, labels and formats.
Ensure that all IT event equipment meets company standards and consistently follow and improve the existing process to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
Work with the Technical Services team to maintain a diary of IT event equipment usage and movements to ensure you are available to clean and prepare the kit in time for shipping and event transfers.
Work alongside the IT and Technical Services teams to ensure the IT event equipment meets the changing needs of the business.
