They have a strong network of engineers across the UK, who essentially install and commission a wide range of production lines, automation cells, andstand alone machinery. They have a head office here in the UK for equipment storage, and distribution, as well as a global headquarters outside of the UK where the equipment is built.

**Responsibilities for the mechanical fitter include -**
- On site mechanical assembly, build and fitting of high spec production assembly lines, automation cells, and stand alone machinery
- Sub assembly as well as final assembly of the lines
- Laser alignment, levelling and geometry checks
- Fitting motors, sensors, motion cameras, basic cable running including power and network cables
- Functional testing during the commissioning stage, including actuators, sensors, and ensuring the machine is correctly functioning
- Identifying build issues or corrections during the testing stage
- Provide customers with end user training and demonstrations

This role requires extensive travel and working away from home on customer sites, so the flexibility to work away from home during the week, and travel back home at the weekend is essential
- Previous experience as a mechanical fitter, machine tool build engineer, machine tool fitter
- Mechanically bias, ideally holding an NVQ level 3 in mechanical engineering
- Site based installation of equipment, production lines or automated equipment
- Good knowledge of fault-finding, diagnostics checking and equipment inspection
- Willingness to travel nationally, and be prepared to stay overnight if required
- Clean driving license
Benefits including an excellent base salary of £38 - £42K basic, plus engineers are paid for all their travel to and from sites or back to the hotel, overtime is paid at Time & ½ after 7.5hrs per day, Double Time on Sunday, overnight stay allowances, hotelsand out of pocket expenses are all paid by the company. Also includes a fully expensed company vehicle with the choice of van or car, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 5% company pension, private healthcare and dental care, death in service, and criticalillness cover.
