The Opportunity:
Your skills and attributes for success:
- Substantial demonstrable experience of learning, teaching and scholarship in areas relevant to transitional learning
- Ability to design effective learning programmes and to effectively deliver integrated curricula and assessment with attention to academic policy and procedure
- Demonstrable successful experience in educational management, e.g. on foundation or transition programmes
- Evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate effectively and respectfully across a range of audiences influencing others as appropriate
- Relevant Postgraduate Degree (or equivalent) and/or significant experience and standing in a professional practice-based background relevant to the Centre’s transitional programmes

- English Language Education (ELE) - Providing a range of general, academic and specialist English courses, for undergraduate and postgraduate students, professionals and groups;
- International Foundation Programme - This full-time programme prepares International students for undergraduate degree study within the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences;
- Short Courses - The University’s extensive continuing education programme offers courses throughout the year in Languages, Science, Art and Design, Humanities and Social Sciences, available to all;
- Seasonal Provision - Our Summer and Winter courses offer an international experience at the University of Edinburgh for people from across the world
