We are commencing a large-scale PIA FTTH Build across the South of England region focusing on key locations such as towns, cities, and business parks.
At Giganet as **Health and Safety Site Advisor **you will assist in the delivery of all company SHEQ (Safety Health, Environment & Quality) requirements and to work with Build Partners and supply chain across multiple sites.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced, professional advisor within a SHEQ role. You will have a good understanding of recognised best practice, risk management techniques and management principles, supported by a thorough appreciation of health and safety within a regulated industry sector. Proven, demonstrable experience in a similar SHEQ role, ideally gained in a similar industry such as Telecommunications; Utilities or Construction (Utilities and/or underground service avoidance would be highly desirable). Must have a good understanding of risks involved in all civils utilities tasks, working at height and in confined spaces.
Tasks will include:
- Promote and coach a Safe and Healthy Workplace with own Company and Build partners.
- Advise and guide all personnel working on projects with the implementation of the SHEQ policies and procedures.
- Work with all Managers and Staff to ensure risk assessments are prepared and reviewed as necessary and if required and to assist with their preparation.
- Liaise with Giganet build partners representatives under the Manager of SHEQ request and build good working relationships in relation to SHEQ management of sites.
- Undertake weekly site SHEQ audits as per the Manager of SHEQ request, across all parts of the business, Network Build, Installation, Logistics, Supply Chain.
- Compile statistics for reports and presentations as per the Manager of SHEQ request.
