**Responsibilities**:
- Our client, NATS (National Air Traffic Services), are requiring a Health, Safety & Wellbeing Auditor to join them on an initial 6 month contract.- Contract working inside IR35, paying £250 per day umbrella.
- Client based in Fareham, Hampshire but remote work available.
Purpose of the Role - Work on continuous improvement HSW Projects- Develop an H&S maturity assessment process referencing the ISO45001 standard and the BMS change management process.
- Pilot the assessment process within Safety Services, Tech Services and Operations working with their assurance teams and manage the consequential improvement actions that result.
- Develop a NAT's H&S Competency Framework. Pilot and obtain feedback from a business area eg Ops + HSW team.
- Develop a NAT's wide HSW performance dashboard and reporting set of KPI's to demonstrate legal compliance
- Develop appropriate support and training materials for assessment at both a business level and local level eg induction, promotional & training awareness material
- Working with the Health Safety & Wellbeing manager take an overview of the current assurance arrangements and make recommendations for a risk-based audit programme that assures compliance to agreed obligations.
- Working with business areas, facilitate the development of improvement actions to address ongoing risks and areas of non-compliance.
- Working with existing Health & Safety Business Partners provide guidance and training on Health and safety matters and where appropriate enhance existing training materials.
- Where appropriate support ongoing development of HS&W processes to support the standardisation and simplification strategy. Eg Policy, Legal Register
The individual shall report directly to the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager.**Qualifications, Experience, Skills And Personal Qualities**
- Have a minimum of Level 3 qualification in Health and Safety with IOSH membership.
- Have practical management experience of ISO 45001 or similar Health and Safety Management Systems.
- Have experience of working in a heavily regulated industry.
- Have an IRCA recognised qualification as a Health & Safety auditor, ideally lead auditor.
- Have the ability to engage and effectively communicate with all levels of NATS employees on a range of technical, management and operational issues (both verbally and in writing).
