The Role
The main responsibility of the Accounts Assistant is to support the Financial Controller with business accounting activities across Lawton Brook and Oracle. This includes raising, sending and paying invoices, reconciling company accounts and chasing late commission payments from lenders
You will be on hand to answer any queries raised by staff or external clients or providers and will manage all day-to-day transactions across Sales and Purchase Ledger with the Financial Controller providing support and guidance to both.
**Specific Responsibilities - Lawton Brook Limited**
- Management of stocking loan and daily bank recs
- Purchase Ledger/ Sales Ledger/ cashbook management
- Process bills on Dragon relating to vehicles
- Process invoices on Sage
- Fortnightly payment runs
- Month end preparation
**Specific Responsibilities - Oracle Asset Finance Limited**
- Processes lender payouts
- Post corresponding payments on Sage
- Supplier bank checks
- Group treasury to include: reconciliation of Group bank accounts on a daily basis, monitoring of bank balances, processing of payments
- Reconcile finance commission receipts with expected earnings as recorded in our in house system
- Resolve commission discrepancies with lenders / Account Managers
- Credit control: monitor timeliness of receipts from lenders, introducers and other debtors to ensure that all monies owed to the Company are collected. Chase overdue items and raise issues internally as appropriate
- Support Accounts Co-ordinator with processing of purchase invoices in the accounting system, obtain sign-off for payment and process supplier payments
- Process employee expense claims in accordance with the company expenses policy
- Work with Group auditors to provide all information as requested
- Supplier payment runs
About you
You will be AAT qualified or equivalent with previous Purchase ledger/ sales ledger/ cashbook experience.
As well as the basic salary we offer a very generous profit share scheme.
