**Traffic Planner**

Responsible for the daily operations of the fleet (ie Grab, Tipper, Skip, Rollonoff, Ready Mixed Concrete, Concrete Pump, Vacuum Road Brush, Caged Van, Portable Toilets), ensuring optimum efficiency and effectiveness of the fleet, whilst providing an excellentcustomer service through well planned routing and scheduling of the work for the LGV Drivers to suit both business and customer requirements.

**Key Tasks**
- Responsible for providing excellent customer service through planned routing and scheduling of work and the preparation of the drivers work sheets, ensuring vehicles are routed and operated effectively and efficiently.
- Responsible for arranging daily driver allocation to vehicles suited to their abilities.
- Ensure the drivers report to work on time and that the vehicles are routed and operated effectively and efficiently.
- Ensure the vehicles are available for use by liaising with the Transport & Plant Manager and/or Assistant Transport Manager.
- Liaise with the depots to ensure stock levels of incoming and outgoing materials/aggregates/skips/ready mixed concrete are maintained, shipped and delivered to customers on time and as efficiently as possible.
- Liaise with the drivers and customers to ensure the customer’s expectations are met (if not exceeded) in a safe and profitable manner.
- Take and process orders as and when required by inputting the details on the ISYS/Weighsoft system ensuring the price is correct and all other details are concise and accurate.
- Deal with any customer queries, ETA’s, issues, or problems and resolve any customer complaints in a polite and courteous manner
- Communicate with the drivers as necessary throughout the day and help to resolve any driver issues or problems as and when they occur.
- Reschedule work as necessary to cover driver absence, vehicle breakdowns, etc.
- Monitor and update the torque wrench register.
- Implement the Tructyre/Service Centre Wheel Removal process.
- Follow the weekly maintenance instructions from the Transport & Plant Manager to ensure ‘O’ licence compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all current and impending/future legislative requirements.
- Ensure you have and maintain a good geographical and operational knowledge.
- Ensure information is relayed to the drivers regarding any issues or problems that they are likely to encounter during their working day.

**Working Hours**

Contractually: normal core operational hours of work will be between 6.00 am to 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid lunch break, [eg 6.00 am to 4.00 pm, 7.00 am to 5.00 pm, 7.30 am to 5.30 pm, and 8.00 am to 6.00 pm] and Saturday on a rota basis between6.00 am to 12.30 pm.
