A great opportunity for a talented and experienced Service Engineer, confident in the maintenance and troubleshooting of chromatography and mass spectrometry systems, to secure a site-based role with no travel

Our client is a leading biotech at the forefront of biomarker discovery, enabling easier detection of a range of diseases. They are seeking an experienced Engineer to be based on-site providing instrument support and service for any scientific instrumentissues, working closely with scientists and external vendor support teams.

In this role you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry and Thermal Desorption instruments from a range of vendors, diagnosing complex faults. Additionally, you will mentor existing engineering team members,work closely with external Engineers and be involved in instrument purchasing.

To be considered for this role, you will have:

- NVQ 3 in engineering or equivalent
- Extensive experience servicing Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry instruments from a range of instrument vendors (Waters, Sciex, Agilent, ThermoFisher, Shimadzu)
- Knowledge of Thermal Desorption instruments
- Excellent communication skills and essential ability to work well in a team
