The Development Chemist will need to develop our client’s products from concept to scale up and demonstrate performance through material testing. You would work in a cross functional team and would design, manage, and conduct experiments, implement ideas,methods, knowledge, skills and experience to achieve the team’s objectives.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop scalable prototypes and demonstrate performance through material testing.
- Work closely with the Commercial team to identify opportunities and translate customers’ needs into technical solutions and projects.
- Support key customers to formulate and develop products, as well as validate product benefits and substantiate claims to speed up product launches.
- Prepare research reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising data; give presentations for both internal and external audience.
- Identify IP opportunities and prepare patent documents.
- Identify training opportunities and liaise with external consultants and contractors.
**Qualifications, experience, and skills required.**
- Curious scientist driven by a passion to deliver innovative and sustainable product solutions.
- Degree or PhD in Chemistry, Analytical Science, or a related Scientific discipline
- Experience in developing home care and personal care products would be an advantage.
- An interest in formulating products such as automotive, hygiene or homecare products is essential.
- Must be comfortable working across different projects/teams
- Will need to contribute to a high performing, results-orientated culture
- Should have a hands-on and entrepreneurial style and be comfortable with getting involved in all areas of the business.
- Should be comfortable with taking the lead on roles and responsibilities within projects
- Will be comfortable with complex problem solving
**Salary**:Negotiable and dependant on qualifications and experience

**Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 - 17:00
